CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS + NEW EDITORS.
Hello again!
Since the announcement of our hiatus, we have been laying the groundwork to rethink the future of . We are ready and excited to share the next steps.
First — we will be back with Issue 027 in February 2026.
We are thus officially opening our call for submissions! Submit us your fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or hybrid work on Mirror Images by January 4th. Think (re)presentations of self, video game avatars, generational resemblances, gender expressions, the actor in a biopic, an inseparable duo… Uncanny likeness, yet never quite identical. We’ve missed you and can’t wait to read what you’ve been working on!
And second — we are opening the following roles to new team members:
Design and social media editor (comfortable with copy editing is a plus!)
Fiction editor
Poetry editor
If you’re interested, email us with a short note about why you want to join + a few samples of your work (as editor, writer, or anything else you think is relevant). Please note that we are an entirely volunteer-run magazine.
Applications open until December 31st, and we will be holding interviews mid-January.
